Introduction

This portfolio was created for PADM 7110 as a requirement for the class and for graduation from the Masters in Public Administration program at Valdosta State University. My portfolio includes artifacts that were created during my work as an undergraduate student at North Carolina State University, graduate student in the MPA program at Valdosta State University, eInternship at the Department of State, and an employee for the University System of Georgia as a Grant and Contract Officer in research administration. Thus, the timespan of this portfolio begins with work created in 2013 and ends with my most recent artifacts written in 2016.

My portfolio is organized using website pages that are accessible from menu buttons located at the top of the page or also available by clicking on the Table of Contents link and then directed to each page individually. I have included a title page, table of contents, introduction, professional goals statement, current resume, artifact #1 with caption, artifact #2 with caption, and a summary statement. Information that is written as a single page can be found on the web page but longer artifacts contain a brief web overview and link to an online PDF version of the report or project included for review.

I have attempted to direct my educational and career experience into the field of public administration while also ensuring that I receive a variety of experience and education on different topics related to public administration. I am currently employed at Augusta University and I plan to gain experience in research administration for an estimate of three to five years. Once I have gained real-world experience and completed the MPA program, my long-term goal is to move into public administration at the local or state level of government.
